Braided Hose Fittings vs W-Series vs 43/71 Series

What is the difference between the hose ends you offer?

We offer a variety of crimp-on hose ends.  The standard fitting you would find on most hydraulic hose is the braided hose fitting. This works with major brands of 1 and 2 wire braided hydraulic hoses.  It is designed for standard pressure, and works in large variety of applications.  These fittings also crimp in most machines out on the market.

Our W-Series Hydraulic Hose Fittings are designed as "bite-to-the-wire".  What this means is that when crimped, the fittings "bite" through the rubber jacket on the braided hydraulic hose, and grip the inner steel wires.  This is for higher pressure or impulse applications. These can be used on 1 and 2 wire hose, but are common on 2 and 4 wire hoses.

When your working with Parker branded hose or crimpers, you need to use 43/71 Series fittings. These are designed to crimp specifically in those machines.  43 Series fittings are similar to our W-Series.  71 Series are designed for 4 and 6 wire hose for higher pressure applications.
